"Unable to perform action."

"Unable to perform action."

 I am currently unable to book any new accommodation. After submitting my payment information I am hit with the following message:

 
"Oops, we're unable to complete this booking
Unable to perform action. Please try again through the website or contact support if you need immediate assistance."
 
I have tried both on my laptop and desktop.
 
I have reached out to airbnb a few times and they insist "my case is with a specialist" and that they will be in touch shortly. It has been nearly a week and I have not yet been contacted. Has this happened to anyone else and if so any idea how long this typically takes to resolve?
 
I am likely to start looking elsewhere for accommodation if this isn't rectified soon.

@Kyle194   Did you try to reinstall the phone app? That sometimes resolves the issue or going to a computer as the app suggested usually works too. 

Hi Letti. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have tried to book exclusively through the website on a computer.

@Kyle194   Okay then I suggest you try the phone app. If that doesn't work you can get on Twitter and direct message AirbnbHelp and get your case escalated immediately. Much better response time than with phone calls.

 

Here's how to sign up with Twitter:  https://help.twitter.com/en/create-twitter-account

 

Once your account is created log in to Twitter click on the little box on the top righthand side that says search twitter. Type in AirbnbHelp  and hit the enter key. Click on the righthand side the little tab that says follow and hit enter. Then on top will be a Messages click on that and start a conversation. Type in air and click on AirbnbHelp send a direct message with all the information you have put together in the message. Then hit send. It sounds complicated, but it's really not only about 5-10 minutes and once set up it's instant to contact them via message just by logging into your Twitter account.

Currently happening to me. I think you can no longer from using the service. I have tried everything even contacting them on social media nothing works. Sadly HomeAway dosent many options and volume like Airbnb.

 

well, i am experiencing the same since last 4 days and customer support is useless for this specific topic to solve.

This is what happens with a company that becomes FACELESS and hidden! Nobody can come near them and they simply don't give a schit!

Has this been resolved? . I still cant log in to the app. it's been over a week and case manager was unable to help. Was told to just keep using the browser. 

Same happening here for the last 6 days!

nothing happened and no action taken from airbnb!
