remote alpine cabin

Dear all,

I'm looking to try and find a remote alpine cabin/lodge in France, Switzerland or Italy... conditions can be fairly rustic, so long as it's dry and we can boil water/prepare food. I don't mind a walk! 

I'm not sure if such places exist in any way that could be rented, but any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hi Charlie, they certainly do exist in my area of Switzerland. Search Ticino, which is the Italian-speaking area in the south of Switzerland or Verzasca, which is a specific area. There are quite a few rusticos that I've seen on Airbnb. They are rustic stone houses in the mountains and are absolutely beautiful. Good luck!
