@Candice109 Also be mindful that the Airbnb "security deposit" really isn't a security deposit at all. It's just an amount of money that the guest may be charged if there is a problem, and it's completely at the discretion of Airbnb if you get anything at all. If you check out some threads here in the community centre, you will see many instances of hosts not getting paid, or getting paid a fraction of what they've paid out to fix guest damage.
If you're concerned about guest behaviour over a certain period due to a festival or something similar, I would put all possible requirements on the account, or temporarily turn off instant booking so you can review guests more carefully before letting them book with you. Or, maybe use it as an opportunity to try out a new booking platform like HomeAway that does actually allow you to control your own damage deposit, if you're not on alternative sites already.
