what is the best payout method for host in Indonesia

Hi I'm Ayub, a host in Indonesia.

Currently I'm using paypal for my payout method. I used to live in the US so I never have to think about currency conversion while using paypal. But now that I'm in Indonesia, Paypal will only transfer my money to my Indonesian bank account in Rupiah (even if you have a USD bank account). It shouldn't be a problem until I realized that paypal conversion rate is wayyyy to high.

Bank conversion rate :     $1 (USD) buy = Rp 13,240 (IDR)

Paypal conversion rate :  $1 (USD) buy = Rp 12,930 (IDR)

That's 310 points difference. 

I'm about to withdraw $3,000 (USD), so with paypay I will loose Rp. 930.000 ($70.25)

if anyone have an advise for me, Please.... I need it 😄

I'm a new host and I haven't even think about currency conversion.

I believe it should be possible to transfer everything in USD if you have a USD bank account in Indonesia. Many multinational banks can open an account with up to 10 foreign currency. A few examples are HSBC, DBS, and UOB. Although these type of account typically need to maintain a balance above 50 million rupiah.

Hi all, Kalo saya sich lebih baik bank transfer aja pakai BNI bedanya cuma sehari dengan paypall, nominal tidak jauh dan tidak ada biaya admin.

I have been almost 2,5 years as host in airbnb and enjoying payout directly to local bank IDR account like CIMB Niaga or BCA. As far as I know the currency rate of my listing is still in IDR and I get host payout amount exact match with the total revenue as mentioned in airbnb site. The cons is only you have to wait 2-4 business days to arrive at my IDR account.
