why is Airbnb receiving 12% on this, i thought they took 3%

Hi can anyone help me explain why Airbnb takes 12%, i thought they only took 3% or am i missing something, see payment details on booking below. Thank you very much!!!   Shanti at Triscombe Barns in the UK

@Shanti1 you need to spend some time getting familiar with the terms and conditions. Airbnb charges hosts a 3% service fee and there can also be an exchange rate conversion fee of about 3%. Airbnb charges guests a service fee of 6-12%.  See https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/384/what-are-the-service-fees

Hosts service fees are 3% but there is also a Guest service fees and they are are typically 6-12% but can be higher or lower depending on the specifics of the reservation.

Hosting service fees are less than the service fees guests pay
