From Airbnb Short rentals to Sales

Hello,

I was unable to locate a ‘suggestion box’ so therefore I am writing to ask if Airbnb has ever considered the Sale of the visited homes?

Why would combining or offering this option be interesting for the future buyer/seller who were initially guests/host?

1. Airbnb offers short term rental - this allows guest to try out the house and its functionality. No one ever gets to take a house of a test drive. 

2. Intervention of Airbnb provides security.

Why would this be an interesting option for Airbnb?

1. Airbnb can equally charge a percentage on the sale.

2. Increase in sales as guests will be motivated to ‘try out’ several homes that are on sale.

3. Innovative idea that NO platform offers and guest would love it!!

4. Airbnb already has a portfolio of hosts/guests.

I would certainly use this service both for selling or buying.

@Gloria43, cómo estás?. Interesante idea pero me parece muy complicada para llevar a la práctica por parte de AirBnb. Usualmente transcurre mucho tiempo entre la decisión de compra y la efectiva concreción de la misma, involucra montos muy importantes y la participación de varios profesionales como agentes inmobiliarios, escribanos, contadores especialistas en impuestos, abogados etc. 

Yo he comprado muchas veces propiedades y nunca necesité ir a vivir a ellas como para percibir si cumplirían mis expectativas o no.

De todos modos te reconozco que la idea es creativa. Habría que pensar muy bien como instrumentarla sin que afecte la misión actual de AirBnb.
