February 2017 Host Newsletter

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share with you the February Host Newsletter. Just to mention again, this newsletter will normally arrive with host via email, so this is just a recap or a place to have the information at your fingertips. 🙂

My personal highlight from this month's edition, is an article by a superhost on how to make your listing stand out in search. The host, Olga, has outlined four key strategies to help you achieve this:

  • Focus on what makes your listing unique
  • Use your reviews
  • Think like a guest
  • Stay with a local host

I know a couple of these key tips have already been shared here in the Community Center, @Spencer-K0 touched upon a couple of these points most recently, this is why I thought it would be great to discuss this further. What are your thoughts on these four strategies, have you tried these out or implemented anything similar in your listing?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Lizzie

Hello @Alice-and-Jeff0,

I hope you are good.

Are you referring to the March Newsletter? If so, this hasn't been sent out yet. I believe it due to go out next week and once I have the link I will post all the details here so you won't miss out.

Thanks,

Lizzie

@Lizzie

I have never received ANY news letter. How do I subscribe? Is it for parts of the world only like other functionalities on AirBnb?

Hello @Mariann4,

I hope you are good.

Aw all hosts who have agreed to receive this type of correspondence from Airbnb should received it. You can check you settings in you Airbnb profile and also perhaps check it hasn't been going into your spam. Let me know if it is neither of these and I can check with the Newsletter team. 🙂

Thanks,

Lizzie

@LizzieIs this it? It's the only box I didn't check and I don't want to either. I get too much mail from Airbnb as it is. I just want this newsletter. I have checked my spam. Just viagra and big wins there...

This is my first newsletter, and since I'm new to Airbnb (about 4 months), I appreciate all the information. How does one use their reviews? Thanks! -- Julie

@Julie396, Hi!

I'm Keila, I use to host in Rio 🙂

What do you mean by "using your review"?

I'd love to help anwering your question 🙂 I'm a review lover, lol

Hugs

Keila

Hi Julie! I took "use your reviews" to mean use them to learn from them. My very first guest left me private feedback about the bathmat and it was something so simple that I hadn't even thought about it, but I definitely learned a lot!

Hi Lizzie, Always good to have a strategy and I think the 4 key items you highlighted are very valid. One question tho, how do I use my reviews? Look forward to this learning curve.

Kind Regards
