Had just the sad experience having received beginning of September a booking for the 23rd to 26th of December (SSWHZP/Jade) for 2017 instead of 2016 I presumed by the kind AirBnB confirms.
I like to strongly recommend to mention the year behind each date as there is usually no reason for a host to look into the calender at the bottom of booking and this is the only place the year is displayed.
