Refund if rebooked

It would be nice if there was some way of managing "soft-cancelling" a reservation... if guests want to cancel but refund policy is strict, that the listing is put active again and if those nights are booked by someone else acceptable, then cancelling guest is auto-refunded a certain amount depending if it was rented for same amount or less.

That's a great idea!  Because as a host you're left wondering if you give the cancelled guest a refund, will your space get rebooked to make up for it?
