1099 K not matching what was paid out

Hi Airbnb Community!

Looking over the 2014 return I noticed that the amount paid out is significantly less than the amount on the 1099K. Anybody else out there with the same problem?

Keep in mind that the amount it shows on your 1099k is the amount before the host fee (3%). For example, if on 1099k it shows you receved $1000, in fact your actual pay out is $970 ($1000*3% =$30), your expense is $30 (plus other related expenses).

Hi Helen and Mario, thank you for reaching out! I am aware, and this does not explain the over 3K difference. Something seems to be missing aside from difference between gross and net (which ice checked and it looks about right).

I'd love to make sure mine is corrected and for others with the same issue to be helped as well. Thank you again! /Sara
