A property manager duplicated our listing

A property Mgr with whom we used to work years ago put up a listing (without our knowledge or permission) of our new rental property. He received a booking - he claims off his personal web site, but we’re almost positive it was really off Airbnb and now wants to charge us 10% commission for him executing the booking. Any suggestions on how we should handle this?  We’d like to get the info of the folks who booked so we can talk to them directly

@Steve360 If you were not aware that this property manager was listing your place on Airbnb I don't think you need to pay any commission. Tell him to deal with that and contact Airbnb immediately via Twitter! Good luck!!!

I feel sorry for the guest who booked into the middle of this bunfight.

What you can do is report the duplicate listing/host if it is still live.

You can contact an airbnb agent - I would have thought it highly unlikely they will reveal any third party info to you, but who knows, they might try to resolve it in your favour if they decide to unravel this situation.

Most of all, you need to have a much franker discussion with your property manager.

@Steve360 Nonononono. Run from this guy. May not even be a client.
