Accidental cancellation

Hi,

 

So I'm a host and one of my future guests has accidentally canceled their booking and wants to reinsate their booking.  I have a strict cancellation policy so have reatained some of their cost from the origanial booking.  

 

What is the best way for me reinsate the booking so they get their money back?   send special offer of the orginal price and if accepted airbnb with adjust the outstanding balance? 

 

Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks

If there is no booking in place, I don't believe you can exchange a transaction.  A couple thoughts:  1) Do not let time pass.  If you're confident these people want to book with you and it wasn't a mistake, you must demonstrate to them that you don't want to harm them because of their accident.  2) I suggest contacting Airbnb directly.  If you ask them to book again, then they are paying for their stay twice - and that would be a bit frightening I would think.  Good Luck.
