Airbnb as your only revenue - document needed for bank loan

Hi there,

The revenue I generate through hosting on Airbnb is my only source of income.

I wish to buy a new property and I need to take a loan at the bank. The bank is asking me for some sort of "proof" , or a biding contract so that they know where the revenue comes from. I pay normal taxes on this.

I was wondering if there is such document available for hosts ? Like a general agreement signed by Airbnb, between me and the company ? Has anyone experienced the same issue ?

I don't know if that's important, but the apartment is in Poland.

Thank you for helping me!

Best regards,

Hela

There wouldn't be any signed agreement with Airbnb, as you are not guaranteed income from them and you are not their employee.  I'm not sure about banks overseas, but here in the US, the bank would want to see your previous tax returns as proof of your income.

If your AirBnB hosting income is going into your bank account then they can see your gross income themselves.

Presumably they want to see your accounts as well.

In the US, you would be considered self-employed and the lender would need two years' tax returns.
