Airbnb bug: 2-year-old messages coming through now

At about 5am I received several messages from a number of previous guests - the messages relate to bookings 2 years ago that seem to have got stuck. I hope this is a one-off and/or Airbnb have fixed it.

All the messages seem to have come via "Airbnb sms"

Alert to email has come with subject heading "Message" unlike the usual more descriptive alerts

Messages look genuine but 2 years old (eg "just checking out now.." from booking in 2015)

Alerts have come through to Airbnb on all devices (ipad, android, desktop) so this looks like a bug and not some hack

I'm also getting mystery messages from old guests and one was sent from me that I didn't write??

Same here. Old messages have randomly gone out to guest. And they are just as confused as i am! Also one message is completely unidentifed and signed off by a stranger. Looks like crossed wires!
