Airbnb has undercharged by almost $100 a booking - 14 hours after complaining no correction

I am a SuperHost.

A while ago a Chinese family booked for 3 people to stay at my home. I usually only take 2 guests at a time but if I am away then there is room for 3.

My policy is $60 extra per night per additional person.

The cost is $970 for this booking - Airbnb has charged them only $888. Fourteen hours ago I contacted Airbnb and alerted them, I was told by the customer service agent in person and in writing that he has referred my complaint to someone else. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. No word from Airbnb. I have taken to Twitter to complain and written to the guest apologizing and asking them to add the $82 extra to the credit card or to pay in cash on their arrival.

I hate having to do this but Airbnb is doing NOTHING about rectifying.

These poor people who are traveling all the way from China will think this is me trying to extort from them.

 

Has anyone else had this issue and how was it resolved?

My reservations - amend booking - change the sums! Guest just have to tick ''accept changes'' and you will get a confirmation email.

To be screwed out of $100 I would just cancel the booking and let AirBnb deal with the fallout. Maybe that will get some attention at head office.

 

It would get her a $100 fine and a blocked claendar.

@Danny0,that would be like biting your own hand as many guests are reluctant to book with a host who has a record of cancelling. Not to mention the other penalties.

Yes - the air bnb invoice doesn't include the additional per person charge in my listing too. Add itionally it seems not to be able to multiply simple numbers for example 5 x  35  in its invoices.

 

But I cannot seem tot contact anyone about it

Yes I am having the same problem of undercharging guests...not taking into account additional people. I cant even manage to find a number to conatct.....

I am thinking of shutting this down as a hosting site....
