Airbnb website changes without enough forethought...again,

I wanted to set a weekly discount of ten percent. I used to be able to do this and just leave the window for the monthly discount at "0" because my maximum stay is 28 days. Airbnb has modified this section so that I can no longer enter a discount for a week's stay without entering a discount equal to that or more for monthly stays.

It doesn't make sense.

@Monica4 many latest changes doesn't makes sense and are not user friendly. Like if you want to change min stay you have to click 10+ times through few windows for each of your listings. Before it was 2 clicks on the same page. And different top horisontal menues? I used to know how to navigate to any page but now I have no idea, just clicking arround until I find what I need.

It is terrible. I don't know who's idea was it but he should be fired

could you please tell me how to change rates for say christmas week?   thank you

You can modify the rates directly on your calendar, @Dennis114.  Just select the dates and change the rate then apply or save. If you also want to change your minimum stay, go to manage listing, availability, trip length and edit.  Select additional requirements and you can enter date range and length of stay.

I see that the system wants me to enter a discount, @Monica4, which I enter as zero and the system is unhappy with me, but still my listing does not show any monthly discount. 😛

Agreed, the site keeps changing. Every time they do it's a new Easter egg hunt trying to find under what tiny tiny icon it is you are searcing for.

I have a request from a potential visitor but now I can NOT get any information about him.

My options are..... Accept or decline.

I want some background BEFORE accepting.

Truth be told this site is FUBAR and needs to be redesigned from the ground up.

Please, enough patches on this site, stop trying to sell the idea to known members and make it user friendly .

Frustrated beyound words !!!!!

FUBAR = F88k-up beyond all recognition.

I had to look it up, so I decided to give the uninform the benefit of my search.

Whoever is making all the recent changes to the Airbnb website needs their arse kicked. I have had multiple properties on Airbnb for five years, and I have enver experienced the crap that I have had in recent months.

You have to click at least three different place to get to the inbox, depending on where you are starting from, and tonight I have given up trying to find my reservations, as they just don't appear under anything.

Who is supervising the idiots making these changes?

Change is fine if there is a benefit, but just finding frequently-used menu items is quickly becoming a nightmare; and there is nobody answerable to it. I can't speak to anyone. The only option is to vent my frustrations to the community! What good will that do, unless Airbnb monitors the feedback?

Is anyone else having these roblems or is it just me?

BTW what do the different levels relate to? What is higher; levl 1 or level 10? I have never seen things detailed anywhere.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Chris

I TOTALLY agree with you, Chris!  We have 2 properties on Airbnb and now you have to click several different places to see the inbox, the calendar, and so forth.  I realize the dropdown box is over in the right hand upper corner, but you used to just be able to go most anywhere from the DASHBOARD.  The dashboard is NO LONGER a dashboard in my opinion!  Another complaint with their "improvements" is that it NO LONGER SHOWS THE CHECK IN and CHECK OUT DATES on peoples emails in the inbox!  This is totally stupid.  It just shows the last time I emailed them  I like to be able (like we used to be able to) to see when their check in and out dates are.  I now have to open EACH email to be able to get that information!  Dumb!  Furthermore, in their improvments, when I go to archived emails it NO LONGER EVEN SAYS WHICH ONE OF MY PROPERTIES THE PERSON STAYED IN!  I have to open each one of those to see which property they were in.  I am sure it is much worse if you have more properties than the two I have!  Like you said, there is no place to complain except here.  If you call them, they just say that they will pass on my concerns.  Yeah, right.  I wish Airbnb would concentrate on other issues rather than tweeking the website for no reason.  Issues like guests who cancel their stay at your space on the day of their stay, never see or set foot on the property, but are still allowed to make low star reviews on things like cleanliness, accuracy, check-in, communication (that one I understand), location, and value!  When they NEVER SAW THE SPACE!!  Then their poor revew which has no credit HURTS my Superhost status!   GEEZ!!!
