As Host what do we want for the NEW YEAR

As host what do you want from Airbnb as well as Guest since we / or some  Think Airbnb is only helping Guest,But not Host or not fair to Host or Guest

I am on this site reading with interest. I think ‘WE’ as the owners of a rather successful AIRBNB in British Columbia,Canada, could be taking some much needed time off to travel, if we only had someone to look after our suite. We live upstairs & have been managing the suite for 2 years now. We love it! It is an easy job that requires someone to be available to clean when guests leave. We have a lot of pride in our suite (home) as we designed & built it. To date, we have over 160 reviews. All are amazing! Today, it took me only about 15 min to clean because the couple stayed only 1 night & didn’t use the kitchen or have a shower. They left it spotless!! It would be nice to be able to find a ‘house sitter’ to live in our home upstairs, that is interested in cleaning the suite, so we could continue to operate it & get away for awhile. It’s a great deal for the house sitter, as it is not like pet sitting, where you have to be around all the time. AIRBNB house sitting could give you lots of free time. Some times we are booked Everyday or it could be a week or two booking. You clean between 11 am ~ 2:00 ( or you may be able to start sooner if the guests leave early) giving you the rest of the day to yourself. I believe that the house sitting sites are for people looking for pets sitters. We are looking for a ‘House’ sitter. Someone that could give our home the care that we give. Be quiet & respectful & not party. The problem is, where do you find the venue to find the right person? Is this it?

@Victoria329, there is a site/magazine called The Caretaker Gazette that has been around since the 1990s (at least - I know I used it in 1996). It is still around, and it is for everything - all kinds of property caretaking. There is a fee for placing an ad with them, of course, and you need a subscription to read the ads. But it sounds like what you need, since you are looking for something beyond a co-host. Take a look. I hope you find the perfect solution. Good for @Edwin57 for asking the perfect question!

cheers

I would really like a feature that would allow me as a ghost to differentiate my cleaning fees. As a guest there's few things I dislike more than thinking I'm booking a room for a certain price only to find that my costs have almost doubled because of the cleaning fees. Because of this, I intentionally keep my cleaning fees low as I normally have sorry term guests. For the few that do stay an extended period of time, those cleaning fees are obviously significantly higher than my 1 or 2 nighters. So for the new year I'd like a scaled cleaning fee! (i.e. price A for 7 days or less & additional specified amount extra for every 7 days like the additional guests pricing feature)
