Availability settings problem

Hi- I changed my availability settings so that a guest could stay for 50 nights (I originally had a maximum of 30 nights) and although I have checked and double checked the new setting, the guest gets a "These dates are not available" when he tries to book the dates. Anyone have an idea what's happening here? Thanks in advance!
