BNB city permit for Waco, TX

Hello,

I'm sort of new to hosting. Has anyone in the Waco, TX area (Fixer Upper show) applied for a Bed and Breakfast city permit? If so can you please share your experience?

Some of my questions are:

1. Is there a home inspection? what will the inspection be like?

2. how long does the application process take from application to getting the permit?

3. How long do the permits last?

4. How long are the hearings? 

Any other info you have would be appreciated.

We are out in China Spring and weren't required to do this.. keep me updated! I would love to know if I am missing something or if it is just in Waco city limits!
