I'm inclined to not offer a refund as the photos and text are very clear that is a 1 bedroom in a shared 2 bedroom home.
The daughter just texted that she is cancelling the reservation.
We are leaving for the weekend so there is zero reason for them NOT to stay.
We spent 165 dollars the day prior to have the space professionally cleaned.
Pissed since it was a lot of effort to get this together for their weekend stay.
Thoughts on how to manage this?
Hello @Fernando459,
Tell them exactly what you just wrote here.
It will help them feel at easy to know the place will be empty just for them.
@Fernando459 Maybe let her know that you won't be home this weekend. However, if she elects to cancel, I would let them cancel and not offer a refund.
Your listing says that it's a room in a loft, not an entire place. It's not your fault that she booked something her parents didn't like. She also shouldn't be booking on someone else's behalf: it's against Airbnb's terms of service.
Nothing to do, she cancels and is refunded according to your cancellation clause.
