Besides coffee and tea, what else do you provide for your guests for breakfast?

Salute @June0,

If it is possible for you, i think, you could provide the traditional breakfast of your country. It could be better.

Thanks,

Miloud

Hi, @June96. When I am home I make waffles (the usual, or gluten-free, or vegan - their choice) and fruit. When I am not home, I leave a basket of instant oatmeal packages and fruit. I am new to the basket-leaving, since I am more often not home these days. I have to say the instant oatmeal is not a hit and I am trying to think of something to replace it.

I also leave instant oatmeal but most of my guests don’t partake.  They do like the danish, granola bars, breakfast bars, and fresh fruit I usually leave.  If I have the time I’ll buy croissants.  That’s been a hit too.

Our home is a stand alone type.  People check in and they have the facility to themselves.  We provide coffee and on occasion bring them fresh baked rolls if Mom's in town.

Local coffee, milk, teas. Cereal, fresh fruit, eggs. Bread products sometimes, only because they don't last long. On occasion I make breakfast. Omelets, casseroles, pancakes, eggs in a basket, etc.

Honestly most guests get breakfast out if they're only here for a few days or less. I'm in a pretty popular area.

I have hot chocolate in the cupboard as well as the tea and coffee on the counter. I have instant oatmeal packets of various flavors including steel cut. I’ve noticed that the steel cut seem to go more readily than the other. However when I have families with children the regular go more quickly than the steel cut.  I offer to pick up milk and bread when families with children are coming but they usually prefer to do their own shopping.

Hello @June96

I offer great quality Lavazza coffee either as an espresso, or I offer great quality Taylors of Harrogate coffee in a cafetière ( pressed coffee) or Twinings English Breakfast teas, including a selection of herbal teas.

Fresh quality Orange Juice.

A home made yoghurt pot using organic Greek Yoghurt rippled with my homemade organic jam and freshly picked seasonal organic fruits from my gardens and orchard.

Freshly made porridge or a selection of Mornflake muesli, granola, bran cereal.

A selection of cheeses and cooked hams with oatcakes, homemade organic chutney and fresh top quality bread from Marks and Spencer.

Freshly baked croissants from the bakery and fresh home baked traditional scones that I make just before breakfast.

Grilled top quality bacon, grilled top quality sausages, baked beans, eggs either boiled, poached, fried or scrambled.

For vegetarians they can have home made falafel or a homemade mushroom pastry or a homemade feta and spinach filo pastry served with freshly prepared couscous salad.

Sadly this season I got a spate of food fads, allergies etc during the month of August, so I now block bookings from Nut allergies, food intolerances or allergies, as I am a keen home cook in my family kitchen.

I cook daily using a wide variety of ingredients and regretfully cannot cater for specialist dietary needs and specialist personal needs as it is a fully functioning family home.....nor do I want to come across an ambulance chasing lawyer!

please take a look at YouTube,  JP Sears How to become gluten intolerant.

Oh and I forgot to add that I provide toast, unsalted butter, Marmite, Peanut butter and my homemade orange marmalade and my homemade organic fruit jam.

Tea/coffee, plus bread/toast and butter and jam/marmelade, and cereal. Many guests don't have time for anything, but it's good to offer it.

I have a traditional bed&breakfast service, where the guests stay in my home. In the evening I offer them a breakfast menu with four choises. They select the one they like and I prepare it to them in the morning.

The menu has

1. eggs&bacon

2. ham and cheese sandwiches

3. cereals with milk

4. fruit and youghurt

+ of course tea/coffee

Most customers go for the classic eggs and bacon. Which is great, because it is a filling and healthy breakfast and low-cost to me.

I provide good fair trade coffees and cream, teas and honey. I leave granola bars that rarely get eaten and a few pieces of fruit, that are also rarely consumed, unless there’s little kids. Needless to say, I drink a lot of smoothies with the fruit that over ripens.

I too find most of what I leave out is not eaten...
