Can I cancel a reservation with a guest that has several bad reviews for being messy.

A guest booked a stay with me, but ended up canceling an hour later - stating that airbnb messed up his reservation. I then read his reviews and found that he had two different hosts complain about leaving their apartments in terrible condition after his stay with them. If he tries to book with me again, I want to refuse the reservation. Can I do that without getting a penalty?

@Rebecca170 there is no penalty for declining an inquiry or a reservation request. I see that you have Instant Book activated. So, if he book again and you do not feel comfortable with it, call airbnb and explain your reason and ask airbnb to help you cancel the reservation from their end.
