Cleaning fee separation when managing units for another person

Hello airbnb hive,

When routing airbnb income to several parties, is there any way to separate the cleaning fee?  Airbnb, it would be great to separate the cleaning fee from the gross payment, and then subdivide based on the percentages laid out in preference.

Does anyone know if this is possible? How have you managed the cleaning fee when operating a unit for another person?

Thanks all,

from Toronto,

Hi @Hannah31

To the best of my knowledge, this functionality is not available.

Cleaning fee and the price of stay all get added, Airbnb deducts the host's fee, and the net amount is wired to the host's account.

Consider establishing a turnover or hourly rate for housekeeping services and invoice the host for those services. Some hosts do NOT charge any cleaning fees whatsoever. Some charge relatively low fees, and cover the actual difference out of the price of accommodation. Yet, some hosts believe that charging a lower nightly rate and a higher cleaning fee works better for them. Whatever the case may be, the host is in sole control of the cleaning fee.

You want to make sure that you get paid for your work based on what the market for such work allows in your town. The cleaning fee may  or may not be fully reflecting the local labor market conditions. It reflects host's ability to market his accommodation at a specific price.

HI, the original post is from 2016,have there been any changes in seperating cleaning fees? I use an external company and the admin of seperately paying the cleaning company is lengthy and cumbersome.

Would love a straight seperation from the source.

Thank you all!

Michael
