How do you get your listings cleaned? I have been doing the the cleaning myself, and I work pretty hard at it, but we have been getting some pretty hard hits on the cleanliness of my place. (We allow dogs in the apartment, and it is an older home, cleaning it is tricky. I try really hard to make this known, but we seem to have disapointed customers frequently).
I am looking at professional cleaning services because obviously I need some help and I cannot find anything that charges less than $150.00 to change the sheets and clean the one bedroom apartment. Typically I rent the apartment for $65 a night, so you can see why this seems steap to me.
Are there services out there that offer cleaning services for less on these types of properties. I imagine it is easier to clean an Airbnb than a typical home so it seems that the price ought to reflect that.
Any reason it's easier than cleaning a typical home ? If it were surely you'd find it easier too ?
Personally I'd say it's harder; a typical home owner isn't going to be grading the cleaning out of 5 stars. Nor will they be expecting perfection .
Your implication is that it should cost $150 between guests? Because they expect perfection?
How can that possibly be cost effective? I am sure that other Hosts have found cost effective ways to accomplish this. Hence, my reaching out for help.
Nope, wasn't at all implying $150 dollars is reasonable; I know nothing about going rates in your area. I was questioning your assertion the cleaning is easier than a normal house and therefore the price should be lower.
It is a reasonable price I own to cleaning company in Nevada and we will charge between $99and $149 for a complete clean. We are licensed insured have to pay for taxes and of course insurance and the wages of our workers the only way you’ll get it cheaper is if you hire someone that’s not a legal company
It is easier to clean an airbnb than a regular home, 1st, guests who are familiar with Airbnb are also concerned about getting a good cleaning review, I have had guests vacumn and wash the floors before they leave, (of course not many) 2ndly, cleaning a regular home requires working around the home owners belongs, paper work, dirty laundry, nick nacks etc.
So I do agree with Kara that it is easier and often faster to clean an airbnb because you have nothing to pick up and move out of the way to do your cleaning. My guests are required to wash all their dishes and put them away, the later I think rarely happens but they have been run through the dishwasher.
@Krystal16 I hope all is well and I'm possibly putting my house up for Airbnb. I need to find cleanings services within my area who specifically can work with Airbnb traffic. Do you have any tips? I really appreciate any feedback.

Sorry I am replying so late I didn't see this. Tips, hmmm,
--> ask if they have other Airbnb clients
--> ask how they handle if they have two clients with a check out on the same day
--> ask if they provide service 365 days a year
--> ALWAYS be there and inspect for the first couple cleans, identify issues immediately
--> do they give receipts
--> Ask them how they make a bed, I honestly want to send them videos on how to do it
--> If you have a set price that you can pay, advertise on a board and say this is how much I can pay, otherwise you will get so many people with outrageous prices that are just wasting your time.
