I find AirBNB's reopening of old invoices and repricing them in direct contrast to  what everyone else does, that is simply bill for the new night.  I got an offer to extend a night,  so I want into settings, changed the price to the agreed amount and set the cleaning fee at zero.  Airbnb then went back and reprocessed 3 days for no cleaning fee at all.  Discrete transactions follow GAAP.   Anyone lese agree?

Hello Jim -

I totally agree with you.  I do not like to do extensions for my guests, because they always tend to get messy and little discrepancies pop up like missing cleaning fees, reduced pricing, etc.  Totally agree!!!

Agree. Instead, I am very clear with my guests as to what the altered price should be and enter the agree upon rate rather than what Airbnb automatically suggests

I disagree.

Paying a huge cleaning fee for a one night booking when you're extending by one day is unfair.

Unless you're planning to change the sheets, clean fully and then let the guest have their room back?  No?  Then airbnb's system is entirely fair and reasonable.
