Email came as ABnB and was confirm it was not

Hi all.......I received an email saying it was a Private message from Airbnb, so of course I opened it.  It was about people having trouble signing in.  I couldn't sign in myself, so I called ABnB an found out they did NOT send me a private email.  If you see that email in your inbox beware.  I got another email today confirming it was not from AirBnB an suggested I change my password.  Thought I'd spread the word and see if anyone else got that email.  Thing is when I opened it to AirBnb, there was a post about people having a time of it trying to sign in.?

@Wende2  How odd. I never open a link from an email, myself. I always go to my hosting account to see whatever message they supposedly sent me in my Inbox, notifications or dashboard.

I once got an email inviting me to a host meetup. It was on Airbnb official letterhead, but not from an Airbnb URL. It had an RSVP button to click on, which I didn't do- I sent a screenshot to Airbnb, who confirmed it didn't come from them. I have no idea how those people got my email address, Airbnb swore they don't give out that info to someone organizing a host meet-up.
