Extending reservations

Hello fellow hosts, I am new host here and still quite unfamiliar with how everything works.  My guest ask to extend for another day. I have accepted their request and I already see a confirmation code.  They then messaged me that their card is having trouble with paying for the additional day but they can't confirm with their bank because it is closed.  How do i know if their was billed?

If you received a confirmation code from Airbnb, then they have at least put  a hold on the credit card. As a host, I rely on Airbnb to collect from the guest since the guest contract with Airbnb and not directly from the host. Problems between Airbnb and the guest will be handled by AIrbnb. As a host, focus on enjoying your guest and providing them a great experience!
