Extenuating Circumstances extended to 30 September

You all might know this already, but I only just found out. Airbnb has extended it's extenuating circumstances policy until 30 Sept. Guest can cancel for a full refund any time up until arrival if booked before 14 March. So much for Chesky saying he'd got it wrong initially.

@Neil23 Sadly this is extremely frustrating and will probably continue every fortnight for the foreseeable future. It just means hosts only have 6 weeks max to try and get a replacement booking.

Hopefully one day soon the cash flows will allow Airbnb to fully extend the EC policy and allow guests to cancel well into the future but I wouldn't hold my breath if I ere you.

To be fair - that contract point has no bearing on the cancellations whatsoever. Even if the contracts are post 14th March refunds with the 'known Covid risk' clause, those are still being provided with full refunds.
