A recent guest left their review of a different host on my page. They messaged me, apologized, and asked if I could remove it. Obviously I cannot. What do I do?
The review is good, just names other hosts and describes a different experience!
hi @J44 , looks like you are talking about your recent guest Andre who left the very same review also for Jen and Rhod, where he also stayed, and both hosts left a short, nice review for him. So he messed up a bit, but since the option to change a review doesn't exist any longer :

it is best to get in touch with Airbnb, either call or twitter@airbnbhelp and have them change it. I'd think it is Andre's responsibility to do so. Because of the weird coincidence that your name also start's with a J, hardly anybody is going to catch it.
If I may say so, I personally would love for a host to display their first name, not just a letter. You might get more bookings if you do.
@Annette33 is correct and Airbnb want to see that comments left are accurate and they will move the review to your page if that is what Andre wishes, but the request must come from Andre, he is the one who we assume made the mistake. I am also sure that Jen & Rod would not want someone else's review on their page so I imagine they would also be agreeable to the shifting of that review.
Get Andre to get onto Airbnb in Germany / Deutschland: +49 30 30 80 83 80 and they will straighten it out for you.
Cheers.....Rob
As it is in this situation, you misunderstood the issue a bit, just read it again: Jen and Rhod do have the correct review on their page. Andre duplicated his review, it needs to come OFF J's page, just read it again.
Anyways, thank you so much for thinking my advice was correct. It might just be simpler to leave a thumbs up under anybody's comment if you agree, that would be a nice thing to do once in a while.
@Annette33 Yeah should have read my response a bit better before I hit that post button! What I meant was Jen and Rod would not want their review on someone else's page. But I was trying to get across the approach to ABB needs to come from Andre.
Yeah thumbs up are for agreeing however, the reason behind a forum such as this is that we each have a perspective and a comment to add, and for the last few years I have been here, that is the way the forum has been used. In most instances many enquiring posts are a bit like a jigsaw puzzle from which you, I and others can add the pieces.
'Thumbs up' do tend to be used sparingly though these days. There were some regular contributors in the past you always used to finish their posts with 'If you like this answer give a thumbs up' but that does not seem to happen as much now.
From my own point of view, I do give more thumbs up than make comments.
Cheers....Rob
Thanks so much for the replies and help. I cannot find a way to contact Airbnb AT ALL...I've clicked all around and keep going in circles. What is the phone number or email for Airbnb in the USA?
I agree that Andre (guest) needs to contact Airbnb to fix the issue, but he has no incentive to do so and I'm guessing isn't going to want to take the time to do that. Andre messaged me via Airbnb messaging system and apologized for the error. Can't Airbnb go into my account and see that? I just need to contact someone there!!
@J44 , emailing isn't going to get you any answers soon, best is calling or twitter.
You can always type "contact Airbnb" into the search box here, and you'll find this, the best comprehensive guide on how to contact Airbnb:
scroll down and you'll find the US number.
I wouldn't waste my time on the Community experts, as they don't have the power to actually change something in your listing, only official Airbnb people do. Community experts are Airbnb members like us here, only they'll get paid for answering a question.
twitter works well, I just tried it out myself a week ago.
Good luck!
