Guest's approval of a reservation's change

I wanted to offer a free upgrade to a guest between 2 of my listings.

I created an alteration to the orgininal reservation moving them from one property to the other.

The modification appears on my dashboard but the guest never reveived any such offer and thus cannot validate it.

What when wrong?

Seems like you answered your own question. The guest never reviewed it. You should have communicated to them to do so before the moved in.

The guest NEVER received a notification of the change. I did chat with them.

So the real question is Why didn't my guest get a notification?

We can only guess - perhaps a system glitch ?

Do you suggest I delete then re-create the offer?

You could try - I have never been in this situation, so not too sure.  It could work if the glitch has been mended.  If it does not work, I would suggest you contact airbnb for assistance.  Fellow hosts do not have insight into your account and your bookings.

Now you need to tell me how to contact Airbnb support... never found the link 🙂
