HOSTS WOULD YOU LIKE 5STAR GUEST TO DEMOLISH YOUR APARTMENT? AIRBNB IGNORED IT COMPLETLY

IMG-20180204-WA0006.jpgIMG-20180204-WA0003.jpgIMG-20180204-WA0018.jpg

Thats how my apartment look like when we had guest name Mika from Finland.

Damaged doors, drugs, alcohol and ignorance from airbnb side.
You may not believe that but this is what I got from Trust and Safe specialists from aribnb after weeks of waiting for single response:

"We've carefully reviewed your Host Guarantee payment request and unfortunately, we're unable to process your request because we have determined the result of the door sticking was due to humidity and not due to gross negligence on the guest's behalf"

The other reason was "we will not be able to reimburse you for these damages as you had stated that a third party was required to come to the listing and assist in a jammed door. The third party fixing the jammed door was unable to do so and in turn broke the door."

So I'm responisble for all that and I ordered 3rd party to damage my top condition, never cause-problem doors. And also that definitely wasn't a gross negligence on the guest's behalf to drink, disturb my neighbours, abuse drugs, damage doors and other objects from the apartment?

Well, I suggest to reconsider if you really would like to have anything to do with this website. Don't even count on any sinle reimbursment or fake protection program. They simply don't exist. They will be sending you ridiculous responses pretending that its all your fault instead of chasing drug, party and alcohol squatters.

Most hosts here are realistic, @Ben329. 60 views and no comments. Airbnb is watching us...

@Ben329What do you think Airbnb should do? And expect them to do?

The present scenario of Airbnb expected to 'guarantee' the ~behavior~ of guests which is also highly dependent on the ~decisions~ made by the host on who to host or not, and how they are set up to control the guests,  is at the core of most host-guest conflicts.

@Fred13  I was talking to my SO about Bird Island and this knuckle head asked me if clothing is optional because he wants to walk around “helicoptering” around the island. I promise he has home training but he is stuck on walking around in the buff. @Ben329 I’m not so sure I’d be mad if the guest left me a half ounce of some sticky green though.

Bird Island is a 'no tan-line zone', something I hint at in my information pachage, you be surprised how many people ask further questions on that option. It is just that private. I would venture to say at least 50% of guests wear no clothes at all during their stay, taking an educated guess from the fact they are proud to show me they have no tan lines. It offers rare freedoms in today's crowded world.

Wow, @Fred13 , not only do they have no tan lines, they offer to show that to you. Sounds like you get some uncommon "amenities" from your guests 🙂

Not like they strip down or anything @Sarah977. Hahaha

@Fred13  I imagine the hosts on the "Guests wearing shoes in the house" thread who consider bare feet to be somehow uncouth or disgusting won't be clamoring to book with you 🙂

That crowd be horrified . 99% of my guests kick off they shoes when they land and oftentimes have a hard time finding them when they leave.

I dont mind about "sticky green". As long as I dont have to run a losing business

but the problem with that is the accepted reservation rate now come in as basic requirements. if you fall below 88%, your listing could be removed. i did not think it was in the app before, just saw that after the last update.

At least help with police investigation. I can't afford to exchange doors every 10 "verified" guests. This is not a party place neither a drug spot. This type of guests should be immediatly blocked and penalty given.

@Rene-and-Zac0  Maybe the guest left that thinking of it as some kind of compensation for leaving a mess 🙂

@Sarah977 That’s what I’m saying. If that bag pictured is legit, that’s about $150-$200 US. I might just call it even at that point because it just looks like a messy table to me. The door is broken, no doubt but I’m seriously jealous nobody has left me anything other than stems when it comes to dank.

Also, I had to call Airbnb today because for some reason my listing disappeared when the filter “Superhost” was used. Jody in “Superhost” service sorted that out and told me the system definitely had an error.

No bookings since Feb 22nd and I stay busy, what’s the deal?

@Sarah977 We’re you schooled in the US?

@Rene-and-Zac0  Yes, born and raised in Kansas City, Canadian for 40 years, now primarily resident in Mexico. What prompts you to ask?

P.S. The host who was left this mess and "gift" may reasonably want nothing to do with it. Either using it or selling it to recoup the cleaning and damages.
