Hello all - I'm a host of 4 rental properties and also a software developer. I've developed home automation software to help me manage my listings. My properties know when guests are coming and going, creates unique door codes for them, sends them welcome emails, and sets the thermostat so guests always arrive to a comfortable house. When the guests check out, it makes sure doors are locked, turns lights off and sets thermostats to away mode. It also alerts my cleaners that the house is ready to be cleaned.
