How long does it take for a booking to be confirmed?

I have a guest that said they booked two hours ago, but I haven't received confirmation.  Normally, the confirmation comes through very quickly.  Am I missing something?

@Tyson8 Depends, anywhere between a few minutes to a few days. If your guest is brand new to Aibnb and they have to confirm their credit card it can take up to a few days (although credit card statement confirmation is officially should be done within 24 hours it might take much longer based on my experience).

I am new to Airbnb (first time booking) and I just booked for this evening (for 3 nights) and I am afraid I will not have a place for this evening if it does not get confirmed? Is there any way to know so Im not worrying about this evening all day?

@Michael4430  You could contact Airbnb. Contact info is in a large pinned post "Contact Airbnb" on the first page of this Help forum. It's really best to plan ahead, though, rather than make same-day bookings, so keep that in mind for the future.
