If you can't wait for the SPECIAL OFFER to expire in 24 hours, then the next best thing would be to call Air bnb customer service help to ask them to do it for you.
But, I was wondering, are you using the browser to log in because I was able to cancel a SPECIAL OFFER booking 3 hours after I sent it.
It can't be done via the app. Its very important to always use the website for things like that. I even downloaded Google Chrome at Airbnb suggestion onto my phone and its helping me with all of my previous issues to get something done that was out of the "norm".
Just make sure you are logging into the website for this, and not trying to use the mobile app.
