I don't provide any kind of food in my apartments

Hello hosts

Is it okay that I'm not providing any kind of food?

I list my entire apartments for guests (I don't live in any of them)

I have alot of safety's and amenities in them and most of them are new apartments.

In mean while I don't have anything in my listing description saying that I provide food or drinks. (I only provide pure drinking water for the cooler).

So I'm wondering if it's okay that I'm not providing any kind of food in my apartments. It's just more work to follow up and some guests don't like to see or use open or used food from the previous guests.

Some of the guests asking me privately to add coffee, tea, salt, sugar, olive oil, juice. and I'm offering my apartments for cheap price.

Are there hosts like me?

I do not provide ANYTHING related to food.  I have a coffee maker and tea bags...it's one of those coffee makers that has the built in filter...some people leave plastic utensils and bowls/plates but I don't provide anything.  I keep it as simple as possible or I'd have to raise my rate.  People ask if the tap water is safe to drink and I say yes.  I find that the more I give away, the more they ask for so it's best to just provide what I am willing and that I know won't raise my overheard.

Providing any type of food in short term rentals is not required it is up to you. Most hosts provide basics like: salt , pepper and some other condiments, sugar, tea, coffee, coffee whitener, oil, vinegar, flour and maybe cereals. Others offer also milk, cheese, fruits...

But there are also agencies with 10+ listings and I am pretty sure they don't offer any food . Most likely remote hosts who lives far from their listings also don't provide it. It is up to you to decide.

We do offer basics although there are 2 grocery stores near by (one is in the next building), there are 2 cafes just footsteps away and we are in the city center with plenty of restaurants at walking distance. But it is not costly and we just think it is a nice touch to have it in case anyone needs it.
