I forgot to use my friend's referral link when I listed my place!

So now neither she nor I get the referral cash. Is there a way to go back on this? 😞

Sorry to hear it. But there is no way to solve this problem except Airbnb staff can be able to add your friends referral.

They are not going to help you with this, even if you realized you forgot to use it, right after your fried confirmed his phone number. It's sad and disappointing

This just happened to me. I have correspondence that I was assisting. I am very very upset. I am a super host and they know me. I plan to escalate.

Any news on this?

Seems silly they (airbnb) cant just use the unique referral code and deduct from the account. Perhaps its because the payment transaction is already complete.

If in doubt, I plan to cancel my reservation and immediately reserve again using the link/code.

You'd better make sure to carefully read the cancellation policy for your booking, as cancelling could result in a significant loss of $ for you.

Thanks for the heads up. But what does cancellation policy have to do with a referral link?

You said you are planning to cancel the reservation so you can use the code and immediately rebook. If you cancel a reservation, you will be subject to whatever the rules of the cancellation policy for the listing are, regardless of whether you rebook or not.

So, for instance, you could lose the service fees you paid and have to pay that again on a new booking, or even 50-100% of the original cost of the booking.
