@Annette33 i was thinking the same. i can't see it myself.
@Lilian20 re wishlistings. it seems to me from my experience so far, others may be experiencing it differently, that those who choose to wishlist and would like others to reciprocate, that approx less than 50% do in fact reciprocate. have you got any further info? i have at the moment 35 who wishlisted. also worth keeping in mind is that whatever % effect actual wishlisting does have in terms of actual reservations, it will have so only for as long as the listing remains wishlisted. taking part in this is for me an interesting endeavour, costing nothing but a little time and a little effort. there are also further personal knowledge gains as you read the listings, general as well as specific. further, more hosts in BNB are becoming familiar with me and my listing and me with theirs.
regardless of the tools of marketing at ones disposal, returns are rarely immediate or high. your 'product' still has to become known in the marketplace and you confident in your product and be able to do what it takes to reach your goals. in the meantime while waiting to establish yourself in the market, every gain especially when it costs nothing is a real gain - perceived or actual, both of which are entwined in a prospective guests mind in some magical formula as it is in the hosts.
also at this stage i don't use social media but many of the hosts do.
