I want to know if recommending another host is a good idea if my place is full?

I haven't seen other places, but see them listed geographically.  Thoughts on this?  I would rather help another host (as I would like to receive the same rec. 🙂  If anyone has done this, can you let me know how it turned out?

I had a guest who wanted to extend their stay but we were already booked. I knew of a neighbor down the road and recommended her. It made the guest feel good that I went out of my way to help. It also helped my neighbor.

There was a part of me that did worry that if something went wrong that the guest might comment in my review if they had issues.

I think if you do it where you don't know the other person that you make it clear that this other place is not related to yours in case there are any issues you don't want the guest coming back to you or leaving something bad on your review.

Overall I think helping other hosts is a good thing

I do it all the time, though know the hosts personally I send them to, since did help them get started in the first place.

@Joanne-Flynn0You are from Phoenicia, NY? Spend every summer as a kid nearby, in nearby Woodland Valley, family cottage. What great summers those were.

@Fred13

our cabin is in the Woodland Valley! So amazing that you spent summers here.  Do you ever come back to visit?

I agree with @Joanne-Flynn0 and @Fred13 , every business is easier if you are networked 🙂

Right @Branka-and-Silvia0! Always good to know you're not alone and others are here to help.
