If I set Friday to Monday as available and Tuesday unavailable, can guest reserve Monday night?

If I set Friday to Monday as available and Tuesday unavailable, can guest reserve Monday night?

I thought setting Tuesday as unavailable means a guest can't stay Monday night. Am I wrong?

A guest has booked and has "confirmed" to stay until Tuesday morning. Is that a mistake?

@Diarmuid3 Blocking a day only blocks guests from checking in on that date: a guest can still book the previous night. In your example, you would need to block both Monday and Tuesday if you didn't want any guests at all at your property on Tuesday.

So if Sunday is available but Monday is blocked, a guest can arrive on Sunday and leave Monday morning?

Also, I already have people booked in to leave on Monday, so if I set Monday to unavailable, will that affect their bookings?

@Diarmuid3 That's correct: if you blocked Monday, you could still have guests booking for the Sunday night.

If you have a guest checking out on Monday, blocking the Monday won't affect their reservation either, no.

@Diarmuid3  It helps to think of them as nights, not days, less confusing. If a guest books Monday, it means they are checking in on Monday, staying Monday night, checking out on Tuesday.

@Diarmuid3  When  you review your calendar, you have to think "hotel." The little box doesn't mean the day of June 12th, but the NIGHT of June 12th only. That is what you are selling– nights. And if you have sold that night, and they are checking out the next day, you can block the NIGHT of the 13th and still let your guests leave.
