Is March the cruellest hosting month?

So this is my second March hosting. Last year was terrible: I lost a two-week booking over March Break when a guest cancelled at the last minute because our listing couldn't safely accomodate their wheelchair and I gave them a full refund. It was our worst month since we started hosting.

This year I was feeling pretty smug: this has been a good year for me, and I thought it would be okay. We had multipe bookings, some of them longer. So far, we've had 5 cancellations: I don't think we've had that many total since I started hosting.

Anyone else notice March being a tough hosting month? I'm in southern Canada in wine country, and the weather is still pretty wintery, which may be putting people off. It doesn't fully explain it, though, because January and February were strong. Anyone else have March problems, or is it just out to get me?
