Is it OK for one guest to reserve for another?

I was in touch with a guest who I had to decline as I was in negotiation with another guest for those dates which didn't become a booking for me. So I notified the first guest that those dates were now available.

Someone else enquired with "He asked me to **bleep** the room for him."  There was no reason given. 

Do you let one guest book for another?

Any complications with that?

Not sure why the bleep came up.   should read "he asked me to reserve the room for him."

If you have two guests travelling together it doesn't matter which one of them books.

The booking guest has to be one of the people coming. If not, it's considered third-party booking and discouraged and not covered by Airbnb.
