Hi there,
I have a condo in South Beach. I have a booking for it but I am out of town during this trip. I was wondering if there is a company that provides a service to checkin and checkout the guests on your behalf.
Thanks!

I'd recommend for future getting a keyless entry lock for the main door. I got mine for around $120 at home depot and easy to install and program. Also, I found a dependable local person and setup a fee structure if I were to need her assistance with guests. ($85 for cleaning, $20 for check-in assistance, $20 for random trip to assist guest. etc)
Hi fellow hosts!
We're about to launch a startup to solve this issue in a very reliable and cost-effective way - using nearby convenience stores to host keys. We're giving away 30 days free to all hosts who complete our survey before launch - it takes just 5 minutes!

Airbnb Key Exchange in London - now available from KeyNest
If you live in London, KeyNest is a network of cafés and shops with long opening hours where you can drop your keys for free. Your guests can pick up the keys at their leisure and will be warmly welcomed by the staff. The keys are tagged so they can be tracked online and stored in a safe behind the counter.
The best feature about KeyNest is that it’s extremely simple to use. Just create an account, send your guest the 6-digit collection code, and drop off the key at any time.
KeyNest will even notify you when your keys are collected, so you can relax knowing your guests have safely checked-in.
Guests, no matter whether they are early or late, can pick up keys at their convenience.
Hi Magic,
Keycafe is coming to South Beach very soon. If you let me know the area where it will help you most, I will see about getting a location nearby your property.
Keycafe [link hidden] is a self-serve fully automated key exchange service operated through local businesses throughout many cities including New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Paris and London. Keycafe has been serving Airbnb hosts since 2013 and is connected to Airbnb through the host assist program so you can automate access to your guest access by connecting the Keycafe app with the Airbnb listing. When you accept a booking your guest will automatically receive permission to access your keys for their stay.
You will receive a text message when your guests, and cleaners pickup and drop off the keys so you can easily manage your property while you are at work or away on holiday!
Your keys are stored inside their own unique bin in our Keycafe SmartBoxes not shared by any other keys and not accessible by the location staff. Only your guest will ever have access to your keys. If you sign up on our locations page we will notify you when we launch South Beach.
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
Just an update from what Marc said - KeyNest in now available in 1800 locations across the UK, France, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Switzerland, with Spain coming soon!
Like Marc said, KeyNest is the easiest way to hand over keys to guests when you can't meet them in person - you can just drop them off at your local store and let your guests in by sharing a code with them. KeyNest keys are stored securely and monitored at all times and most of our locations are open 24/7!
We're also an official partner of Airbnb through the Host Assist programme so you can use your Airbnb account to login to KeyNest.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for new KeyNest Stores locations 🙂
