Leaving reviews for a host that was booked by another airbnb guest

How does one leave a review for a host if I was not the guest to book the reservation (my friend did).  I'd like to leave an excellent review as he is a newer host but unable to do so.  I'm curious if there is a way around this?

NO way around this, the person who made the booking needs to leave the review.
