Let's celebrate New Year together!

Hiya everyone,

Should old acquaintances be forgot?

Happy New Year to everyone in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and before!

What're you doing New Years'?What're you doing New Years'?

Forgot to say,

Fav hosting moment when the adorable couple from the US requested to meet Bad Dog Truffle.

He was so friendly that though she wagged, rocked and bounced, she was too scared to go near him. The only person normally that nice to her is the vet with a needle!

Happy 2020 @Stephanie @Lizzie @Quincy & fellow CC , here from us in NZ🎉🎉🎉

Let 01.01.20 be the start of a fantastic year ahead!!!

Have had many favourites, from the family that celebrated 40 years of travelling to Ōhope to spend their traditional 'Family Vacation ' together,  to the two sisters that wanted to reconnect with a place they came as young children, to the delightful golfing couple from Canada that had never been to NZ before and many others...

2020 Resolution will be a continuance of learning.

What has been your highlight of 2019 & your 'to do' for 2020?

Cheers to 2019 and welcome to the new.

@Cathie19

Gee, this collage thing has gone to your head, hasn't it Cathie!

But it's nice, gives us a commonalty and makes us all feel part of a team!

01/01/2020 is drawing to a close for me....what is my New Years wish?

To have as good a year as 2019 was! I had very little to complain about, my health is A1, Ade is still going OK, the guests keep beating a regular path to my door......Airbnb haven't slapped me over the wrists for anything!

The only down side of 2019 was, my good friend Erol died on Sunday evening. Two weeks ago he and his wife Chris were planning their Christmas festivities, looking forward to another couple of cruises this year. Last week his heart stopped for 16 minutes, everyone did their best, but Sunday night he succumbed.

My second wish is that we all make the most of our opportunities and the allotted time we have! None of us know what tomorrow will bring, so lets not allow too much of what we can do today, escape!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Cheers.......Rob

@Robin4 ,

As Garry says, “do it whilst you can.... Travel to and do the places that in the next decade, your health may not allow. Mortality is a far off concept when you are generally in your twenties. But as life lengthens, it also brings too many harsh realities that we are finite creatures.

Without using the full prose from Samuel Taylor Coleridge: when I was a child, my “Autograph Book” was signed by a relative who adapted the famous words: “To meet and know, and then to part, is the lot of every human heart.”

Definitely stay kind and appreciative, but remember to venture forward and seize the special moments. Continue in 2020, to make some great memories!
