Has any other host had they listing closed without a warning because a guest gave only a 3-star review instead of 5 or 4 stars like the others? Our listing was now suddenly closed in the middle of high season for 5 days by airbnb, and then for another 3 days as we did not understand we need to activate our advert separately.

This nice, Swiss, 3-star review-couple felt that dispite our professional cleaning team there had been some dust on the dark hard wood floor. I contacted them later, and never did they want our apartment to be taken down form airbnb due to this opinion of theirs!

Airbnb has not answered our to our messages. 69% of our 440 reviews are 5-stars. I have been hosting for over 5 years now, and remember well the good old days when airbnb was quick to answer and easy to contact.

Best wishes,

sirkku

Sirkku, Airbnb do indeed penalise hosts by suspending or deactivating their listing for a period of time... a week, a month, but, they will NOT do it for one indiscretion. There would need to have been a number of issues over a period of time for this to happen.

And Sirkku, Airbnb will always warn you if you are at risk of being suspended and they will give you a reason.

Here is the rule article relating to listing suspension.

If you feel there has been a genuine mistake here on Airbnb's part and that you do not fit into this suspension category you can contact either by this link....

or else directly through your listing at this link

Good luck Sirkku, I hope this can be sorted out for you.

Cheers......Rob
