Hi forum.
We have been AirBnB hosts for 18 months and AirBnB users for 3 years. So we do hopefully know our way around the system.
We have three rooms to rent in our farmhouse, and on July 30th all three listings stopped showing up in the search engine.
We would expect all three to show in the map in the the following search (in the middle, as Foxes' Retreat):
This is one of the listings:
https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/27458552
The listings show active with the green dot. There are no booking rules that would prevent them showing. This has occurred since 30 July, so we're losing custom right at the height of the season. It's very frustrating. We have spent hours on the 'phone to AirBnB who seem to have no idea what the problem is. They simply say 'it's with the specialist team who will call you or email you' but they have not - 7 days in and nothing back from them.
Any ideas gratefully received. Short of starting again and losing superhost status and all our positive reviews I don't know what else to do.
HELP!
Thx, Adam and Myszka
Normally your three listings must show up on this link:
https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?host_id=60070335&map_toggle=true
But they do not, it's showing an empty page.
As your homepage shows the listings are active, something is wrong:
https://www.airbnb.com/users/60070335/listings
When clicking on a listing, it does not open the listing, but reroutes to the general Airbnb search page.it Means they can not be displayed at all.
If the listings are available in your account for managing them, i would suggest to duplicate one of them (via duplicate funktion) and test if you can make that one active.
Best regards,
Emiel
Thank you Emiel, we tried duplicate function yesterday on one listing but it did now show, so I deleted it again.
Any other ideas? Thx.
@Myszka-And-Adam0 Create a complete new listing from scratch and see if that helps.
OK I did that, a complete new listing from scratch, the test listing is here:
https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/37526829?source_impression_id=p3_1565118102_DGZzdO0dBm%2FyXVyb
It does not show up on searches.
Any other ideas?
The problem is, whatever you do (create new or duplicate listing): the listings can not be viewed, so appearing in the search system (the next level) will no happen at all. So on a very basic level things are allready wrong. Listings are displayed in your profile and on your homepage, so they excists, but they can not be viewed individual . Airbnb must have a look into this.
Can you remember something happended around 30 july with your account ?
These problems used to happen also when Airbnb has placed an account under investigation....but then they would have informed you.
Best regards,
Emiel
I called AirBnB last night (again...) to ask them if the account was flagged or disabled. They (after some persuading) said they would check and get back to me.
Guess what? They didn't get back to me.
We have built a business over 18 months that is reasonably successful and a vital contributor to our family cash flow. AirBnB have arbitrarily taken that way from us. Powerless. Helpless. Very very unhappy.
