Longmont Colorado legislation

For those of you who host in Longmont, Colorado, the city council is about to vote on MUCH tighter regulations that will affect you, your finances, and possibly the number of guests who choose Longmont. Please come the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 6, starting at 7:00 p.m., when they are likely to discuss and vote on it. Vote no! They are essentially trying to turn Airbnb-ers into businesspeople running a hotel.

Hi There,

Only reading this now, what was the outcome of this vote? I am considering listing my home while we travel. I am outside of Longmont city so this may not effect me. Wondering how you find out what laws apply? I have searched Weld County website and found nothing regarding short term rentals or home sharing. I am not new to hosting, but have not done it here yet due to not feeling confident in my understanding about the regulations.
