Mixed review processing

I have been hosting for several years and currently have a single and a double bedroom for rent in a modern beach house. One recent guest had stayed with me and rented out the smaller room of my two Airbnb rooms. She was a lovely and friendly girl and we socialised for a few hours. Anyway as with many reviews I found that this one was slightly skewed. She wanted to book the smaller of the two rooms, but as the smaller rooms house keeping wouldn't be ready for that same evenings booking, I offered her to the larger room that was free that night. She accepts and I thought it was a nice gesture. Anyway, when she wrote her review she stated that she had booked the larger and pricier room and been downgraded to a smaller room. It is a minor detail and one that I believe is false considering the circumstances. I have notified the guest to correct the review but I don't believe that it maybe edited without Airbnb's oversight. I hope that there maybe an easier way to mediate such circumstances considering its a vital link in the system.

Hi @James18,

If it was the guest error, I am sure you could ask her to call Airbnb and they may change it for her.

You might also contact Airbnb yourself and if you can prove that she was actually in the larger room for the smaller room price, they may remove the entire review since it is not factual.

I am curious what they do so please provide us an update.

Cheers

Dave
