My Host Inquiry response is still pending

Hi

 

I got an inquiry from a potient client about my experience.  I responded to their inquiry right away but after 2 days, there is still a pending status  beside the message in my inbox.   I looked at the message multiple times, it is not a request to book, it's just a question.

 

Does anyone know if the potiental client saw my response?  why is the status pending? and how can I avoid this in the future?

Hello @Edward191 ,

Maybe ask the guest if he received your message ? I am pretty shure about it, "pending" probably means there is no booking. If it would be a reservation request for accommodation, pending would say: act within 24 hours, otherwise Airbnb will take action:

Thank you for your response.  You're absolutely correct.  The pending status beside the message related to the booking status, not the message status.  Clients did receive my responses.
