My guest came to my appartment and canceled later that night

Hi, i am a new host and he is actually my second guest, he booked my room the same day he came i waited for him greet him in person showned him around he is actually sleeping in the room but he canceled the reservation at 2 in the morning what should i do ?

How long was the guest booked for?

 

If it was only one night I wouldn't do anything. You will still get paid.

 

If it was for longer I would message the guest back on the platform and ask if everything is okay as you saw he cancelled the booking earlier today?

 

If he asks about a refund, let him know that Airbnb processes refunds in accordance with your cancellation policy.

he booked 2 days from january 2 to january 4 he is still sleeping in the room i already sent him a message in the platform asking why he canceled, he diidn't answer yet.

@Moncef11, maybe it just wasn't what he expected. With a flexible cancellation policy, If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the accommodation fees for the nights not spent 24 hours after the official cancellation are fully refunded. So if he didn't cancel in time for the 2nd night, he will still be charged (unless he has got grounds to request a refund). You don't really need to do anything, but it would be good to get some feedback from him as to why he cancelled.

Thanks for your reply, i am waiting for him to wake up, so i can hear from him live, i already sent him an email and airbnb told me that he will not be refunded so i guess he did'nt make it at time

he told me that he didn't know he canceled he created a new account in airbnb and maybe it happens automaticly i told him he can stay this night aswell maybe i will not have problems
